Petite Clothing on Sale❣️
And some words of wisdom! 🗞️
Hi Shortie,
Are you ending your summer on a high note?
This season has been a paradox—feeling incredibly long and surprisingly short. Usually, I'm a free spirit and social butterfly during summer, but this year has been remarkably different.
The reason? Content creation! There were moments when I wished I had waited until fall to launch, but then I'm reminded of the saying: "The best time to start was ten years ago, and the second best is now."
Reflecting on the past six weeks—some of the busiest in my life—I've learned three valuable lessons:
Forgoing rest is a form of self-sabotage
It's okay to go slow
Remember to have fun!
As we close out the Summer of 2024, I’d like to thank you for your readership. I’m excited to embark on another season with you. Enjoy this short and sweet issue!
Sincerely short,
Lwany

P.S. How excited are you for the new Runway the Shortway™ trend?❣️

SHORT QUESTION
Busty & Long Legs
Dear Lwany,
I’m busty and have a short torso, too. All my 5’ / 153 cm height is in my legs. What styles work with that?
x,
Robin
Hi Robin,
First, let me assure you that while your overall short stature might present some challenges, your vertical body proportions align well with how most fashion designers conceive their designs. They often use a croquis, an exaggerated drawing of a body where the legs make up more than half the total height.
Here are some style tips tailored to your body type:
Avoid High-Rise: Unlike most Shorties, you'll want to steer clear of high-rise bottoms to avoid looking like Steve Urkel!
Bypass Your Waist: Opt for hip-length or longer tops and outerwear. This will help create a more balanced silhouette.
Favor V-Necks: Embrace all v-shaped necklines, including cowl and sweetheart styles. These will help visually elongate your torso. Long pendant necklaces are currently trending and can also create a similar lengthening effect.
Remember, these are guidelines, not rules. I highly suggest experimenting with different pairings at home with what's in your wardrobe or venturing out to different stores. Have fun with it!
You'll slowly start to figure out what makes you feel confident and comfortable.
