I’ve officially worked my way through the entire backlog of submissions, so if you’re facing any fashion struggle or need help finding your petite-perfect pieces, now’s the time to send them my way.
While I wait for your emails to roll in, I’ll be featuring a backlog of petite fashion articles from around the web. Not long ago, we’d be lucky to get two or three articles a month—but lately, it’s been like two or three a week!
New players, such as InStyle, Real Simple, Travel + Leisure, US Magazine, and WhoWhatWear, have been regularly entering the ring.
Could it be that petite fashion is finally having a moment? If history is any indicator, we might be entering another golden era.
The last major wave hit in the ’80s, when brands rushed to cater to women entering the workforce and were eager to unlock new streams of revenue. Now, with return-to-office mandates in full swing and brands once again looking for growth, I wouldn’t be surprised to see new petite collections—or at the very least, a fresh round of marketing aimed at Shorties.
If it happens, let the record show you heard it here first! If it doesn’t, chalk it up to wishful thinking… a Shortie can dream!
