How’s your fall going?
Last week was a whirlwind! I didn’t get to work on the petite clothing retailer directory as planned, but I’ve officially set a launch date: Friday, November 22nd! Having just under two months to get the site ready gives me the push I need to ensure no more weeks slip by.
Can you believe Spooky Season is already here? Before we know it, we’ll be inundated in holiday sales. It’s coming so fast that, at this point, it might be worth holding off on new purchases – including the knee-high boots I’m highlighting below!

Knee-High Boots

Any recommendations for knee-high boots (maybe with a slight heel) for Shorties?

Hi Mads,
I have to admit, I’m not a fan of knee-high boots without a heel—on anyone, not just us Shorties. They often remind me of riding boots (which are perfectly fine, just not my vibe!). This isn’t about proportion—it’s purely personal preference. The only exception? Hunter rain boots.
Naturally, all of my recommendations include a bit of a heel. Surprisingly, Nordstrom has a fantastic selection right now! Given the higher price points, I’d suggest wishlisting your favorites and checking back a couple of weeks before Black Friday when discounts are more likely.
If your boot hits just below your kneecap, I recommend consulting a good shoe cobbler to trim the shaft for a more proportionate fit. Ideally, the top of the boot should sit a few fingers below your knee for the most flattering look.
